There shall be a President of India In  Article 52 , President of India is the executive head of the Union of India. Qualifications to become President  (Article 58)  A Candidate for the office of the President should have the following qualifications:  He should be an Indian citizen He should not be less than 35 years of age  He should have qualifications for elections as a member of the House of the people He should not be holding any office of profit under any government for local body He should not be a member of Parliament or any State Legislature.
